Empowering women in the mountains & beyond

On September 4th, our LaMunt Store in Munich hosted a truly special event: around thirty alumnae of the Ten More In program gathered for an exclusive evening of networking centered on connection, growth, and female empowerment.

The meeting between LaMunt and Ten More In was a perfect match. Both share a clear vision: to give more space and visibility to women, supporting their active and innovative presence in sectors traditionally dominated by men.

The protagonist of the evening was Ruth Oberrauch, founder of LaMunt and part of the Oberalp group, who guided the participants on an authentic and personal journey through her professional experience and the values that drive her work.

During the conversation, Ruth shared valuable insights on several key topics:

• The values of LaMunt and Oberalp, and the importance of sustainability in the development of a family-owned company that is focused on the future.
• Her personal journey in a world—mountain sports—that is still heavily male-dominated, sharing how passion and determination can pave the way for new opportunities.
• The role of female design in mountain apparel: how aesthetics, functionality, and refined details can truly meet the needs of women, thanks also to a “female sounding board” in the LaMunt Community, which actively contributes to the evolution of the products.

It was an inspiring, authentic, and collaborative evening. A meeting that confirmed once again how female empowerment knows no boundaries, and how the outdoor world is increasingly making space for the voice, vision, and strength of women.
